Ryder System WMS Coordinator, Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm in Romeoville, Illinois
Position Description
The WMS Coordinator reports to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound and outbound process of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to insure daily production needs are met; providing timely communications to other departments and leadership personnel; and supporting all other warehouse operation functions and personnel as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Two (2) years or more of warehouse and forklift experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to:
Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
Work independently and as a member of a team
Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
Capability to multi-task and highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and WMS systems (intermediate level)
Other equipment certification may be required
Safety sensitive position
Non-Regulated Tech; depending on location, may be required to operate equipment and to be equipment certified
Responsibilities
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Monitor WMS forecasted workloads inbound and outbound to ensure adequate utilization of facility and transportation resources
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve and problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Support supervisors and warehouse associates to complete daily operation functions
• Perform other duties as assigned
