In this role, internally titled "Recruiter II", you will partner directly with the business and:
Creatively and assertively recruit top talent to join Ryder by networking, cold calling and using top notch social media skills.
Market Ryder as a global Employer of Choice
Guide candidates through the recruiting process (while asking for referrals along the way) – ensuring a smooth interview process and an even smoother offer & acceptance.
Advise, counsel and manage (but never “sell”) hiring managers throughout the course of the interaction – from the initial scoping call through the final selection of the new employee.
Build, cultivate and grow pools / pipelines of talented professionals, enabling faster reactive hiring and driving proactive hiring of top talent when possible.
Judiciously work with headhunters when the organization’s best interests are served by using external recruiting resources.
Be creative, bring ideas to the table, suggest and implement improvements, try new things, and challenge others.
Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the recruiting process.
Bachelor's degree or minimum of 8 (eight) years equivalent work experience
A minimum of 2 (two) years experience in a related area
General knowledge of functional area(s) assigned
Must have business perspective
Additional Responsibilities include:
Source, screen, interview and refer candidates to hiring manager
Determine best avenue in recruiting
Develop effective working relationships with placement agencies and external recruiters
Maintain effective working relationships with HR and business partners to ensure appropriate service levels are met
Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting
Promote the organization as an employer of choice
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions
Work in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols
