Summary
The function of the Technical Maintenance Support Business Partner is to research and resolve technical related problems stemming from manufacture quality, engineering shortcomings, manufacturing defects, assembly line workmanship, misapplication as well as general reliability, durability or other operation issues. Using various proven problem solving processes and working with manufacture's engineering groups and related resources, this position will be Ryder’s subject matter technical expert for multiple OEM’s and product lines and make recommendations concerning vehicle specifications, maintenance practices and provide technical assistance directly to the Field.
Essential Functions
Manage Tech Desk (includes managing vendor representatives and utilizing automated call distribution system): Responsible for receiving calls for multiple OEM’s, generating problem reports, diagnosing issues and providing necessary information to the Field for resolution, follow-up to ensure timely resolutions to the problem, problem support escalation as needed
Analysis of Maintenance Data: Responsible for running internal reports for the purpose of identifying high cost areas, performing high level statistical analysis and working with the Reliability Team for root cause analysis and communication of corrective measures.
Manage Technical Library: Ensure that all of the service, diagnostic and repair manuals for Ryder's fleet are kept current. This is done by understanding the composition of the fleet and the types of information available from all suppliers as well as obtaining the necessary copies of the information for the library.
Manage Safety Campaign Process: Responsible for reviewing manufacturer recalls for: Applicability, special tooling needs & availability, availability of required parts, conflicts with Ryder policies and creating these Campaigns for Ryder use.

Qualifications
H.S. diploma/GED required
Five (5) years or more Ryder technical experience preferred
Seven (7) years or more heavy duty vehicle maintenance required
Two (2) years or more proven track record with maintenance management experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
ASE Certification preferred
Medium-Heavy Truck Certification Tests (T Series)
PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics
ASE Certification\Alternate Fuels Certification Test (F1)
Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis Specialist Certification Test
Some travel may be required
