The Manager HR Compliance will lead Ryder’s leave administration and workplace accommodations programs and will serve as the subject matter expert for respective areas. Provides support and guidance to stakeholders on complex, specialized and sensitive matters related to above programs; oversees and provides directional support on day-to-day activities and assists in the design and execution of above programs. Develops and formulates procedures and process flows to ensure efficiencies and consistency of processes. Identifies performance measures and reports on same. Supports HR compliance administration and takes lead on related initiatives

Essential Functions

  • Oversees the day to day activities of assigned HR processes and functional areas.

  • Ensures effective, efficient, timely, and reliable support is delivered and provided. Coaches and counsels employees on performance, sets performance standards, recommends pay actions, and responsible for other HR actions.

  • Leads and/or participates in special projects related to the areas of responsibility.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

  • Strong knowledge of Federal Employee Law, as well as State and Local rules and regulations advanced required


  • Bachelor's degree required in general studies, general management, human resources, law or related field

  • Five (5) years or more experience in Regulatory Compliance, Human Resources or related functions required

  • Strong knowledge of Federal Employee Law, as well as State and Local rules and regulations related to Leave Administration and Workplace Accommodations

Travel: 10-20%
