Ryder System Sr. Financial Analyst - Pricing in NOVI, Michigan
Position Description
The Pricing Analyst position will be responsible for completing and coordinating pricing activities in support of global vertical activities, including pricing deals for various product lines distribution management, transportation management, and dedicated contract carriage.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
Minimum of 3 (three) years of accounting/finance/business experience is required
Advanced Level Skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
MBA preferred
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Project Management experience is preferred
Ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and be methodical in solving problems
Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Is reliable and timely
Proven record in remaining calm and responding appropriately in pressure-filled situations
Responsibilities
Provides financial support to ensure Ryder sells profitable deals that meet or exceed company determined hurdle rates
Assesses and incorporates risks into pricing models - able to advise team regarding risks and how to mitigate through pricing strategy
Structures financial aspects of a deal Performs accurate and meaningful analyses
Provides financial and general business support to the sales and operations teams in support of collective business development efforts
Credibly represents finance and occasionally leads internal and external meetings
Delivers well documented, timely and complete customer pricing deliverables (i.e. pricing template, pricing assumptions, )
Enforces the various costing/pricing processes and corporate guidelines
Is able to influence members of the team that are senior in grade, including appropriate level of push back regarding guidelines or strategy
Develops and manages relationships with the Ryder Field organization and other HQ groups
Actively engages the Ryder team and/or functional experts
Contributes in team meetings and calls with valuable and well timed comments
Uses concise and effective written and verbal communication skills
Engages team beyond own pricing projects and assignments
Ensure compliance to approval process
Works with team to develop and present bids and solutions to customers as necessary
