Ryder System Site Reliability Analysts in NOVI, Michigan

Position Description

The Site Reliability Analysts (SRA) will be responsible for the stability, accessibility and performance of production application environments which support Distribution Management and Transportation Management operations.


  • Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics and computer science or business preferred

  • Three (3) years or more experience in IT, preferably in transportation and/or logistics preferred

  • Two (2) years or more experience in providing onsite/remote technical support preferred

  • Two (2) years or more experience in warehouse and/or transportation management applications preferred

  • Analytical/technical ability and problem solving/troubleshooting skills

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors) to produce high quality work with minimal supervision

  • Quickly learn new applications and new technologies

  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate to the end-user community, tailoring the communication style/method to the specific need, and be able to discuss technical solutions in a non-technical manner preferred

  • Organization skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively preferred

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices preferred

  • Microsoft Office (intermediate level)

  • Linux and Unix knowledge/experience (intermediate level) preferred

  • Performance Monitoring and analysis (intermediate level) preferred

  • Warehouse Management System (intermediate level)

  • Microsoft SQL and Oracle SQL to create, select, execute and delete statements (intermediate level) preferred


  • Analyzing and monitoring production application environments with the purpose of continuous improvement of operational performance and efficiency

  • Provide world-class support to Ryder operations focusing on maintaining application environment stability, training and on-site support when applicable

  • Responsible for the analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of level three technical incidents while adhering to departmental procedures

  • Partner with the Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure issues are resolved in an efficient and timely manner

  • Facilitate technical meetings to drive the resolution of issues and determine root cause

  • Proactively learn new technologies to support applications as they become part of the Ryder portfolio

  • Work closely with Project and Team Managers to provide status and other required information

  • Perform other duties as assigned
