Ryder System Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern in NOVI, Michigan
As a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern you will be assigned to support the Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial (AAI) Vertical in continuous improvement, data analysis, and industrial engineering efforts.
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering (or related area)
Data Analysis and reporting
AutoCAD or other design tools
Knowledge of lean principles/methodologies
Perform data analysis to identify trends and drive continuous improvement activities.
Work with cross-functional teams to provide quality information and make recommendations.
Develop Standard Work instructions
Provide support for Engineering activities and unscheduled requests.
Currently in pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or equivalent
Candidate must be at the junior level or higher in curriculum
(3rd year in a four-year program) Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Word
In addition the candidate must posses the following: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Acute attention to detail and analytical acumen
Demonstrated influencing and partnering skills Self-starter, able to accomplish tasks on own initiative
Demonstrated ability to drive business results Involvement in outside activities and engineering societies are desired
- Interns will spend 10-15 weeks working on projects under the supervision of an experienced Engineer
