Summary

The Business Analyst (CLM) is responsible for developing and analyzing information necessary to provide business, innovation, customer, and quality decisions. Plans and develops new methods of approach to solve complex planning problems. Involves significant independent judgement and a considerable amount of creativity, perception, and initiative in making decisions. Must be able to work with and advise business leaders and their teams.

Essential Functions

  • Active use of Microsoft Power BI to display data used for insights and decision making.

  • Utilizes Microsoft forms, SharePoint, power automate (flow) and power BI to automate processes for time savings.

  • Leveraging strong relationships to be in-tune to daily activities within the organization, linking learnings of current business activities to messaging in cross functional staff meetings.

  • Lead cross functional projects, identifying appropriate key contributors, gathering data and performing analysis to develop recommendation to leadership team

  • Orchestrates the messaging and communication of critical business across the organization, leveraging reports, presentation or other mediums to deliver message.

  • Prepares reports and makes presentations on planning and budgeting issues for Ryder management review and decision making

  • Assembles and organizes all information relevant to assigned projects, and presents recommendations based on analysis

  • Performs special studies and analyses

  • Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions

  • Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities

  • Provides recommendation on process improvements

  • Interfaces with all functional areas on a variety of projects

  • Support development and strategies on key projects

  • Understands and interprets strategy and direction

  • Set up meeting architecture for key meetings to ensure efficiency

  • Set agendas to ensure high impact topics, follow on action items

  • Ensure appropriate communication between business partners

  • Prepare timely meeting reports

  • Manage, track and prioritize action items from various meetings and daily operations and bring to closure

  • Build strong, trusting relationship with extended Team

  • Capability to create appropriate messaging and content to share internally and externally

  • Attainment of productivity goals resolving customer issues

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work within international functional teams

  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult

  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area

  • Ability/willingness to travel to customer locations in support of GM Crisis Events

  • Off shift support in the event of critical customer network disruption or crisis

  • Makes decisions in a a timely manner

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred Related field

  • Five (5) years or more Logistics, Transportation, Warehouse or industry related field experience required

  • Five (5) years or more Previous plant experience required

  • Five (5) years or more Contingency planning and crisis management support experience required

  • One (1) year or more direct supervisory experience required

  • Five (5) years or more 3PL experience required

  • One (1) year or more LLP (lead Logistics Provider) background required
