Ryder System Used Vehicle Sales Remarketing Manager in MIAMI, Florida

Position Description

The Used Vehicle Sales Remarketing Manager position provides market evaluations and executes the purchase of customer owned fleets for the purpose of entering into a Choice Lease contract whether through a Buy to Lease option or a Buy to Sell Option. The position requires knowledge of market values of Class 3-8 equipment, trailers and other vehicles we identify as specialty equipment. Familiarity of vehicle specifications as well as industry terms and conditions are required to provide accurate market buyout prices. Annual revenue growth opportunity to our Choice Lease product line is estimated to be 500 additional Choice Lease units generating over $12M in annual revenue. The position will also be responsible for determining the best course of disposal of the Buy to Sell vehicles in a timely manner as market conditions in the industry can and do change rapidly. The goal is to provide Choice Lease prospects a fair market value for their assets through a Lease Back option or to cover our costs when disposing of the Buy to Sell units.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or related industry experience

  • Seven (7) years or more meaningful experience & knowledge in Transportation or Lease Sales Operations

  • Five (5) years or more experience in Remarketing in the Transportation industry preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • MS Excel ability to work with formulas and data

  • Effective leadership skills

  • Ability to:

  • Knowledge of sales process techniques, produce sales and services (advanced level)

  • Knowledge of competitive analysis, strategizing and execution (advanced level)

  • Knowledge and experience with Excel and all other MS Programs (advanced level)


  • Negotiate and purchase over 500 annual customer owned vehicles annually with values estimated to be over $12M to either lease back or disposal through our Used Vehicle Sales Division. Requires execution, coordination and follow up of all third party inspections to ensure the terms of the offer are being met as well as ensuring payments and title transfers of all assets are on accepted deals. Ensure the transfer of equipment to a Ryder location for lease back or disposal. If disposal assign a market value to the units and collaborate with the Used Vehicle Sale (UVS) Organization to sell units at maximum proceeds. Develop best practices to dispose of the equipment within 30 -45 days of purchase

  • Evaluate all Fleet Buyout submissions from the field, confirm the equipment specifications and provide a detailed proposal including values within 48 hours of receipt for field sales team to communicate to the prospect

  • Develop, mentor and train the Remarketing Support Team; work with auctions as needed, support pricing committee and UVS organization as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned
