Ryder System Specialty Sales Manager in MIAMI, Florida

Position Description

The Specialty Sales Manager position is responsible for identifying, marketing and selling our non SPO specialty trucks, tractors and trailers. Requires working closely with the Asset Management team as well as manufacturers on specifications of these assets to identify secondary markets to maximize proceeds on these assets. Additionally, this position will work with the Specialty Asset Pricing Consultant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Marketing or related field experience

  • Five (5) years or more experience Used truck industry experience

  • Five (5) years or more experience in demonstrated sales excellence (quote achievement) in prior sales responsibilities

  • Strong communications skills both oral and written

  • MS Excel work with formulas, data tables

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, workgroups, customers and supervisors

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized

  • Strong Negotiator

  • Work independently as well as a part of a team

  • Strong Industry knowledge in vehicle specifications and pricing (intermediate level)

  • Experience in Blue Book, NADA, Black Book as resources for market values (intermediate level)

Responsibilities

  • Identify secondary markets for company‚Äôs specialty assets working with the Specialty Asset Pricing Consultant to ensure market pricing is correct to dispose of these assets at the highest proceeds

  • Proactively work with the Marketing Department to identify prospects/ buyers for these assets. Assist Marketing in updating our Specialty landing page as needed and to work with our partners in advertising to position these units correctly to target the right audience and reduce holding times

  • Work with the Used Vehicle Sales Managers in the field and Specialty Asset Pricing Consultant to review units that may have been mispriced to the market that fall outside our pricing model and bring those recommendations forward for market adjustments. Assist the field in structuring deals that may have to dispose of these assets while maximize proceeds

  • Performs other duties as assigned
