Ryder System Segment Marketing Senior Manager UVS in MIAMI, Florida

Position Description

The Segment Marketing Senior Manager UVS is responsible for executing specific marketing plans with comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies and tactics for key customer segments and new product initiatives as created under the supervision of the Senior Director of Integrated Segment Marketing. Plans include well thought-out marketing strategies with clearly defined market goals and financial objectives. Included are multi-touch demand creation programs and campaigns that leverage both inbound and outbound tactics to drive achievement of stated goals.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field

  • Seven (7) years or more experience in marketing developing comprehensive marketing plans to reach target market segments

  • Seven (7) years or more experience in demonstrated management of key marketing campaigns that have achieved business and financial goals

  • Seven (7) years or more experience working with cross functional teams

  • Ability to:

  • Provide leadership to and directly manage a diverse team of internal and external professionals

  • Work independently under pressure, managing resources and multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent collaboration, influencing, and project management skills as well as people managing skills


  • Develop detailed plans to reach company segments, prioritize targets, and determine tactical mix needed to reach the target with offers and calls to action

  • Develop a thorough understanding and articulation of the assigned market opportunity including market share, the competitive set, unique company differentiators, and customer/target needs

  • Execute individual program goals and measurement criteria, as well as allocating budget

  • Manage a team of individuals to tactically execute on the plans strategy throughout the year

  • Work closely with the business Vice Presidents to understand and initiate the business strategy that will guide the marketing plan

  • Attend all weekly GTM launch team meetings for new initiatives and segments as assigned by Senior Director

  • Perform other duties as assigned
