This opportunity will be a part time (20 hours per week) internship within the Ryder Audit Services Department supporting Sarbanes-Oxley 404 control testing (testing design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls). This will be a flexible working arrangement, allowing you to work around your class schedule.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities: Ryder Audit Service interns will be expected to perform professional internal auditing work which includes the following job responsibilities:
Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing/analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee processes and procedures
Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos
Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
Communicate or assist in communicating the results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management
Develop and maintain productive auditee and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings
Maintaining all organizational and professional ethical standards
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to analyze complex business issues and make sound business decisions
Leadership, analytical, and teamwork skills
