Job Description:

As part of the Ryder IT team, the Advanced Analytics ML Engineer Intern will perform a variety of job functions some of which will include but not limited to: operational and analytical reporting business requirements definition, PM system support, data profiling, data preprocess scripting, model life cycle development, model deployment, testing, documentation, and production environments troubleshooting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing notebooks for data exploratory analysis using appropriate mathematical methods

• Model life cycle support, including validation, tuning, deployment, and after-deployment testing

• Business requirements and functional requirements documentation, including Azure PM system support

• Troubleshooting reporting and data issues

• Python, Scala, and R code troubleshooting.

• Works with key members of various departments to determine the definitions of essential data elements. Designs and writes the scripts required to ensure the Business Intelligence or reporting application is reporting the data correctly. Supports the designs logical and physical data warehouse models. Supports the mapping of source system data to data warehouse models. Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with the calculation of metrics.

• Understands that the end user is the primary reason for the technology, and therefore strives for full customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrates analytical skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects

  • Ability to display confidence in learning new systems and processes quickly and establishing a strong customer rapport

  • Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel) intermediate required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Currently enrolled toward a degree
