Summary

The Diversity and Inclusion Manager plays an important role in the success of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and programs. This person reports to the head of Talent Management. The successful candidate must be extremely detail and accuracy oriented, and exercise sound judgment in making DE&I program decisions. Previous experience developing and implementing leadership, diversity, and inclusion programs and initiatives aligned with business goals is a plus.

Essential Functions

  • Plans for, develops, directs, executes, and evaluates in partnership with leadership and councils of all Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs and initiatives to ensure that they are aligned with and integrated into the organization's business goals and objectives. Works with the DE&I leader to develop solutions to close gaps at the enterprise and local level. Partners with the Staffing/Recruiting Team to develop and implement cutting edge strategies and tactics to attract, retain and develop a highly diverse and high performance workforce.

  • Ensure that DE&I is fully integrated and aligned with Talent Management strategies to identify, select, assess, and develop diverse talent. Analyze DE&I Initiatives in relation to their design, implementation, and communication to determine their effectiveness; measure their impact on employees and organization objectives, culture and values; maintain ongoing quality enhancement; conduct benchmarking analyses. Stay current on the latest research and trends associated with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in order to provide counsel on enterprise-wide Diversity Equity & Inclusion issues, opportunities, and best practices. Helps develop and implement DE&I performance objectives.

  • Produce various DE&I reports to capture employee trend analyses; request customized reports as necessary; conduct and maintain inventory of internal and external resources; ensure accuracy and timeliness of critical data reporting.

  • Support organizational and cultural change initiatives that include enterprise-wide engagement surveys, assessments, education, action planning and evaluation. Create or update company policies impacting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Leverages and partners with the HR business partners, Talent Managers and HR leadership in support of developing a diverse employee population and inclusive work environment.

  • Foster and manage strong relationships with select external diversity organizations and associations; identify influential issues and concerns

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with all levels of the organization in terms of developing, communicating, and executing strategy; experience interacting with and presenting to Senior Management

  • Demonstrated project/program management skills

  • Sound judgment skills, personal initiative, and independent problem solving a must

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in an atmosphere of ambiguity

  • Broad knowledge of Human Resources trends and developments intermediate required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field

  • Master's degree preferred MBA, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field

  • Six (6) years or more in an HR Generalist or OD Manager role required

  • Six (6) years or more experience in developing and implementing Diversity & Inclusion programs and Initiatives preferred

  • Six (6) years or more experience in O.D./Learning, Cultural Assessment Awareness and Cultural Transformation a plus preferred

  • Broad knowledge of Human Resources trends and developments intermediate required
