The Claims Coordinator is responsible for input of all claims into the claims system via telephone, fax, e-mail and mail. Claims are researched through various programs in order to obtain necessary data for effective handling.
Enter new losses into Claim System.
Research and assign new losses.
Maintain property damage cases and files.
Work with customers who provide files to include sending notification of the customer carrier to the claimant, adverse carrier and insurance agent.
Assign claim files upon direction of the Claims Manager.
Effectively support claim adjusters to expedite the handling of a claim.
Assist with other administrative duties (e.g., covering the phones).
At least one (1) year of experience in administrative tasks.
Ability to type 40-45 words per minute (wpm).
Experience with computer and data entry.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of insurance markets preferred.
Basic insurance claims knowledge preferred.
