The Database Administration Lead develops the technical strategy and design of database technologies including; hybrid-cloud, server, storage, backup, and replication. The Database Administration Lead develops standards for automation and continuous improvement across all infrastructure technology disciplines.
Develops strategies, priorities, and direction for systems and solutions within their technology disciplines for current and emerging technologies. Develops and owns the technology roadmap to provide definition, direction, and guidance of IT infrastructure.
Coordinates across other technology leads and architects to align database technologies with the organization’s IT strategy and industry best practices.
Develops high-level designs for database technology implementation, optimization, and solution delivery that aligns with the strategies within IT Operations.
Evaluate and recommend new products/tools and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies within their technology discipline.
Monitor systems performance/alerting, ensures capacity planning is performed and is proactive in assessing and providing recommendations for improvement and perform as an internal consultant, advocate, and change agent for their technology disciplines
Proactively reviews RCA’s and system performance to make recommendations for improved system availability and performance.
Work across IT to proactively communicate and understand technology, project and process improvement areas to ensure operational health/monitoring/alerting.
Develops and maintains design patterns across infrastructure technologies.
Mentors others on the technical, functional, and process knowledge and skills needed to achieve results at the optimum level of performance
May perform a primary role as project tech leader for implementation of infrastructure projects
Provide advanced knowledge, skills, and experience within technology discipline
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ten (10) years or more relevant IT experience required
Five (5) years or more enterprise technology strategy and design required
Five (5) years or more analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions required
Five (5) years or more diagnosing, isolating/resolving complex issues, recommending, and implementing strategies to resolve problems required
Five (5) years or more enterprise technology integration, methodology and tools required
Three (3) years or more Cloud IaaS, PaaS design, implementation required
Three (3) years or more Architect or Systems Engineer Lead in an enterprise environment required
Demonstrates knowledge of technology concepts for hybrid-cloud, virtualization, server, storage and backup technologies. advanced required
