Summary

Under the responsibility of the Director of Finance, the Senior Finance Analyst will prepare reports for key decision-making, including financial statements, and analysis of balance sheets, expenses and budget accounts. In addition, s/he will focus on variance and trend analysis, financial modeling, and preparation of financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all month end requirements, month end/quarter end/ad hoc reporting, support on key reporting requirements

  • Monitor progress to company financial targets and proactively develops insight for course correction

  • Provide qualitative analysis (strategic business analysis)

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts for business units

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis

  • Review and analyze reports such as the accounts payable and AR aging details

  • Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts and explain variances (trend, correlation)

  • Identify and track revenue and expense trends

  • Support various levels of operations by providing financial guidance and resolving financial inquiries

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

  • Five (3-5+) years of experience in finance and/or accounting

  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong customer focus

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized, with excellent time management skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow up practices

  • Ability to:

  • Analyze and solve problems

  • Take initiative

  • Work independently under minimal supervision and also as part of a team

  • Perform within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

  • Build strong customer relationships

  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
