SUMMARY

To manage the third party relationship with our Network Carriers to ensure SOP compliance, delivery performance, properly timed billing and overall customer satisfaction. Responsible for performing warehouse clerical functions which include (but are not limited to) inventory cycle counts, data entry and inbound/outbound processing of drivers.

Schedule:

Must be able to work all shifts as the shifts will rotate.

Current shift openings:

Monday- Friday with occasional weekends required.

5:00 pm - 1:30 am

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Pre-alert all destination shipments with shipment details and any special instructions for customer sales and peak volumes

Follow up on service failures and take corrective measures as needed

Evaluate current processes and identify/propose ideas to improve

Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory and data integrity

Work with internal departments to determine objectives and requirements for client programs

Communicate on-time service and other Carrier performance to management and/or Carriers

Establish and maintain effective relationships with Carriers

Coordinate with Agents on scheduling deliveries, forecasting, demand planning and execution of shipments

Report non-compliant issues to management and work to resolve through training and metric reporting

Ensure shipments are moving according to customers’ expectations

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform other duties as assigned by management

EXPERIENCE

One (1) year or more experience 1-2 years related experience

SKILLS

. Operations background (Logistics and/or Transportation) (preferred)

. Meets corporate competency model requirements

. Organization skills

. Ability to understand and follow work procedures

. Communication skills (verbal and written)

. Ability to build professional relationships

. Practical Learning skills

. Proficient negotiation and problem solving skills

KNOWLEDGE

Microsoft Office tools; intermediate level.
