As a Project Management Analyst, internally referred to as a Logistics Engineer, you will support with the Project Manager to ensure flawless execution for a variety of projects within Supply Chain Solutions on the cross-border team. You will be responsible for the development of a detailed project plan, collaborating with all stakeholders, to ensure synergy. Comfortability communicating, and tactfully managing, expectations with all levels of the organization will be key. The types of projects will range from building expansions and set up of new facilities to managing volume increases in transportation with existing customers and implementing new technology/equipment, so the successful candidate will have a curious mind and an eagerness to learn about the business. This Project Management Analyst will interact heavily with operations in Mexico, and at times will travel to Mexico, so being bilingual in Spanish is required.


  • Responsible for small to mid-scale projects

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and analyze to determine the successful completion of short and long term goals

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Establish and cultivate meaningful relationships with internal and external resources

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

  • Communicate progress via meeting minutes to all stakeholders

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Support with the development of spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps

  • Use and continually develop leadership skills

  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish

  • Travel 10% – 25 % (US & Mexico)

  • Successful experience in project management

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management, or Industrial Engineering or 8 (eight) years of equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of related experience

  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text

  • Advanced Level skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis


  • Mapping analysis tools, preferred


  • Collects data and performs statistical analysis

  • Maps and documents processes

  • Recommends and implements process improvement

  • Applies company methodologies and tools to design transportation operations

  • Establishes performance measures

  • Assists in communications with internal and external customers to understand business requirements

  • Supports business development and helps create efficient designs and solutions processes

  • Determines efficient utilization of resources by analyzing driver and equipment utilization charts

  • Assists the Operations

  • Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions

  • Applies various Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools
