Ryder System National Customer Advocate - National Sales Support in FORT WORTH, Texas

Position Description

The National Customer Advocate (NCA) will provide support to the National Account sales team and their internal and external customers. The incumbent will assist in managing and facilitating operational and tactical issues that arise with their assigned salesperson(s), their existing customer base and national sales prospects.


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of three (3) years of customer service/relations experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of full service lease, RPM, and/or DCC product line exposure preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills in managing accounts

  • Must pay acute attention to detail

  • Possess strong analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office programs

  • Must demonstrate the following leadership competencies: Drive for Results/Customer Focus/Peer Relationships


  • Serve as the primary contact on day to day account management for national sales customers and prospects

  • Create executive reviews, customer specific reports and proposals as needed

  • System administrator for Salesforce.com

  • Submit contract package(s) to SSC

  • Responsible for all aspects of defining vehicle specifications, purchasing, pricing and billing for respective customers and prospects

  • Address customer maintenance, billing and receivable issues

  • Participate in projects/task forces as assigned by Group Director of National Accounts or VP of National Sales

  • Possess knowledge of our systems and how they integrate with our business

  • Responsibilities are allocated as follows: Customer Relations 50%/Administration 40%/Special Projects 10%
