Ryder System Wholesale Manager - Used Vehicles in DALLAS, Texas

Position Description

The Wholesale Manager's focus is to increase and expand our pre-owned Used Vehicles sales though the dealer/wholesale network. Improve sales and proceeds by increasing market penetration by identifying new wholesale/dealer opportunities in the market to meet plan proceeds and sales volumes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

  • Five (5) years or more heavy vehicle sales experience preferably with International Sales

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to:

  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

  • Travel both domestic and international as required by business

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices Strong PC skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint) (advanced level)

  • Bilingual candidate preferred but not required (advanced level) preferred

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle specification (advanced level) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale of our specified pre-owned trucks, tractors and trailers through the dealer/wholesale market. Prospecting aggressively and independently developing and expanding our wholesale database to maximize proceeds and dispose of volumes to meet business plan

  • Provide Management with frequent communication on remarketing activities, current market trends as well as changing wholesale market conditions

  • Responsible for ensuring effective communications with both internal and external customers. Responsible for communicating the coordination of equipment needs through our Vehicle Sales Centers or Business unit

  • Meet plan proceeds and sales volumes

  • Attend Annual Used Truck Association convention and others as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned
