The Rental Supervisor or Rental Location Manager holds a key position in the Rental Division. Its objective is to maintain and develop local operations while developing management skills. This is one of the main back-up positions for lease or contract sales operations. The job holder is responsible for generating rental income at the assigned locations. It has a direct impact on the asset management of its locations.
College diploma or equivalent work experience
One to two (1-2) years of rental or sales experience
Mastery of the Microsoft Office environment
Ability to build and develop a team
Ability to communicate easily with senior management
Highly energetic, self-motivated, self-sufficient with the ability to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Good oral and written communication skills both in English and French
Responsibilities: The duties of this position include: fleet analysis planning, market product pricing and customer development. The incumbent is responsible for providing training and supervision at the rental counter, supervision of rental representatives and trainee managers.
The Rental Supervisor position is specifically designed to support the business unit rental locations assigned by the Business Unit Rental Manager.
Sales and Marketing
Coordinate sales and sales processes for inbound calls as well as external solicitation via RSR / MT Responsible for executing the business unit's marketing plan Coordinate and maintain accurate information in the company's marketing department database Maximize market pricing opportunities Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers Meet Ryder's overall market share by successfully executing sales and marketing initiatives
Operations & asset management
Responsible for the overall profitability, operations and asset management of a rental location Maintain compliance with company policies, local, state, federal laws and with other regulatory bodies Full understanding of market conditions to maximize rental fleet utilization
Fleet operations & management
Manage consistently across assigned locations ensuring branding of the Ryder label (i.e. appropriate uniforms, office appearance, fleet condition, point of sale materials, hours opening, etc.) Ensure operational efficiency across all assigned locations Oversee the day-to-day coordination of staff and assets to meet client needs Ensure and maintain a safe work environment Responsible for ensuring effective communication between assigned site operations and maintenance operations Customer Ability to maximize operational efficiency by coordinating the level of inventory to meet customer demand Responsible for coordinating with maintenance departments, asset management, sales and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction Monitor customer concerns, issues or conflicts in order to maintain and increase customer relationship
Recognize and react quickly to market opportunities Establish constructive and effective relationships with internal and external clients Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of functions Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations Clearly display Ryder's products and services
Responsible for the overall profitability of the rental product line, specifically in meeting expected revenue and margin targets for assigned locations Responsible for maintaining compliance with company policies, local, state, federal laws and with other regulatory bodies Responsible for analyzing and interpreting performance through multiple financial metrics and reports at assigned locations
