Ryder System WMS Superuser in CHINO, California

Position Description

As part of the Ryder team, this position will provide application support to users who utilize the Manhattan SCALE WMS at the distribution facility. This position will become the on-site SME (subject matter expert) to help problem solve and reduce any system related downtime to the operation.

  • Provide direct support to warehouse operations team regarding the WMS.

  • Provide support for operational issues related to the WMS, software and hardware.

  • Provide timely response, meeting all defined service level agreements and ensuring resolution to all reported issues.

  • Create, monitor and follow-through on support tickets required for issues requiring escalation.

  • Ability to solve complex system issues and work in a high pace and challenging environment

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access applications

  • Associates degree or 4 years of related experience is required

  • Advanced Level Skills in MS Excel such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Logistics or Transportation or 8 (eight) years of combined college and/or relevant equivalent work experience is required

  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of supervisory experience required

  • Experience with warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems required

  • Experience with ground transportation operations including DOT, OSHA and all related safety regulations


  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred


  • Ensuring flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors

  • Management of all areas of transportation to include safety, transportation, DOT regulation, compliance, P and L responsibility, distribution and customer service

  • Management of assigned direct reports to include employee relation issues, performance management, new employee training and development
