Ryder System General Manager - Distribution Center in CHINO, California
As a Distribution Center General Manager, you will provide strategic direction for all warehousing activities associated with shipping, receiving, warehousing and inventory management. You will set objectives, goals, strategies and measures, will plan for continuous improvement and create new and innovative strategies necessary to consistently meet our customer's expectations. Other responsibilities include leading the development of a high performance work environment and budget activities, including full P&L responsibility and serving as a liaison to business units, functional areas and internal and external business partners.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing KPI's, lean processes, multiple shifts including but not limited to 75+ indirect reports, 3+ direct reports, financials, various reporting (quarterly business reviews / customer facing) , and occasional weekends may be required based on business needs.

Bachelor's degree in Business Logistics or Transportation or eight years equivalent work experience
A minimum of 7 (seven) years logistics (or materials) and transportation experience with a major carrier, dedicated contract or shipper
A minimum of 3 (three) years of supervisory experience
Masters degree preferred
Candidate must possess excellent computer skills to include MS Office and Lotus Notes
Areas of responsibility will be warehousing, distribution, Dedicated Transportation Services (DTS) and carrier management
Maintain a positive employee relation climate and maintain a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level
