The Regional Maintenance Manager position is responsible for regional maintenance support.
Location : Responsible for Location: Responsible for Chicago, IL and surrounding regional areas
5 years of maintenance management experience while supervising others, background with maintenance software, excel, word needed.
Interface with clients, peers and experience with managing vendors a must.
Technical skills: Background with Electrical, Mechanical required, experience with conveyance systems/HVAC systems a plus.
Job Description: Potential of traveling 50%- 75% as Corp. support for both start up and closure of SCS facilities as well as project management and facility inspections. Reports directly to: Director of Maintenance within the CPG vertical. Job will require both managing as well as actual performance of job duties assigned to achieve flawless start up throughout SCS. Facilities will be assigned by regional approach but may include occasional travel throughout US.
Personal attributes needed for this role: Detail oriented, a great multi tasker, knows how to prioritize well, physically capable of dealing with heavy workload, adaptable and needs to promote safety where ever applied, able to manage multiple vendors at once, along with staff and timelines that need to be achieved on time delivery is a must. Needs to be able to work alone and being a self-starter is very important. Ryder corp. representative where ever you go so interacting with those around you need to see that level of professionalism at all times.
Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results.
Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s).
Maintain open and effective communications within the work group(s) and with other work groups within the organization. Review data, identify and implement necessary actions as required.
May manage the profit and loss statements based on the complexity and scope of the organization.
Lead a proactive safety program within the work group(s) consistent with company policy in order to provide a safe and secure work environment. Instruct and enforce location safety management plans, training and processes. Monitor the maintenance of equipment for assigned work group(s) by using checklists and observations as required.

Bachelor's degree required in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Master's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
Five (5) years or more in Supply Chain, Logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
Three (3) years or more Supervisory experience required.
Two (2) years or more Profit & Loss experience preferred.
Two (2) years or more Application experience of Lean principles, systems and tools required.
