Ryder System Supply Chain Engineer II in CHERRY HILL, New Jersey

Position Description

The Supply Chain Engineer II will be responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.

Additional Responsibilities/Skillset:

  • Generate innovative ideas to drive customer savings and process efficiencies

  • Support operations; determine efficient utilization of resources by analyzing layouts, labor force, driver and equipment planning.

  • Develop and deliver data driven presentations to various levels of leadership

  • Manage small and medium size projects; must have great communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple functional groups

  • Collect data and perform statistical analyses; candidate should have experience with analysis tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, and Tableau (preferred)

  • Logistics/Supply Chain Degree preferred; Industrial Engineering Degree/Masters Degree not required


  • Bachelors degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Minimum of two years of related experience is required


  • MBA and/or Industrial Engineering Masters Degree preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency in: MS Office MS Project and/or AutoCAD Visio


  • Collects data and performs statistical analysis Maps and documents processes

  • Recommends continuous improvement opportunities

  • Works with other team members to develop alternative solutions

  • Conducts transportation/ logistics studies and/or time studies to develop standards
