Develop and manage corporate security programs and infrastructure in relation to customer and internal requirements to ensure compliance with established corporate standards. Improve overall security awareness by working with appropriate stakeholders to conduct audits, training, identify and report deficiencies on physical and procedural security measures implemented. Make and oversee recommendations for improvement strategies and track implementation of corrective actions. Investigate and report, where required all matters of criminal or civil acts against the organization or its customers.

Work Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: $85,000 to $90,000 annually

Location: Brampton or Montreal


  • Create, manage and implement corporate security programs and infrastructure to meet and maintain business requirements.

  • Develop and implement new corporate security policies to support customer state of business as needed.

  • Develop and manage customer specific security budget to ensure spend alignment as it relates to security operations

  • Identify and make recommendations pertaining to cost effective security solutions to improve overall security effectiveness.

  • Create security business cases for capital expenditure as required for executive review and approval within current business structure or future growth opportunities.

  • Audit security processes and procedures to identify areas for business improvements.

  • Develop and manage security processes and work instructions relative to security systems operation internally and at customer locations

  • Investigate internal and external security incidents pertaining to systemic and non-systemic losses, submitting finding to the Director Corporate Security for review and customer follow up.

  • Line of site to responsibility of security personnel pertaining to security infrastructure reporting matrix .

  • Overall responsibility for customer specific remote monitoring of implemented proactive and reactive security measures and policies via Ryder Global Security Operations Center.

  • Work in conjunction with appropriate internal and customer specific functional departments as it pertains to all security related matters.

  • Create, manage and implement corporate security programs and infrastructure to meet and maintain business requirements.


  • A college degree preferably in a related field (law & security, criminal justice or equivalent)

  • Must possess a valid passport permitting travel outside of Canada

  • Valid security accreditations (CPP. CFI or CPO) are an asset but not required based on experience

  • 5 years’ experience in Logistics, Warehousing or Transportation Security Management role.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the management and operation of National Security monitoring center overseeing direct reports.

  • 5 years’ experience in development and management of effective security procedures and protocols relating to logistics warehousing or transportation security.

  • 5 years’ experience in the design, implementation and programing of security systems

  • 5 years’ experience in managing security system projects thru operational and security vendor engagement.

  • 5 years’ experience in developing and conducting security awareness training.

  • 5 years’ experience developing and managing financial business expenditures

  • 5 years’ experience in conducting proactive and reactive security interviewing.

  • Bilingual in English and French are necessary

  • Bilingual in Spanish is an assets

  • Knowledge of PC and Internet based applications as well as Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of Security Infrastructure & Technology

  • Good at communicating both written and oral.

  • With good organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to work alone with minimal supervision.

  • Must be process-minded and able to interact with all levels of corporate organizational structures.
