The Startup Operation members (SET Ops) acts as a setup consultant and handles all aspects of new business startups along with ongoing support of Field Operations. This includes both driver and manager training for basic system operations and often includes aiding and functioning in the expected role. As such, the ability to prioritize work-tasks and manage the day-to-day task items are requirements of this position. Additionally, the team engages and takes part in the writing of process documents, system testing, and even design-level consulting for new pieces of the product .
Travel is extensive for this role and is expected to be around 75-80%.
Members of Start Up team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors
Ensuring both drivers and managers understand the core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing
Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase
Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group
Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations
Skills and Abilities
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
Ability to work independently and as member of a team.
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Knowledge and inner workings of a driver route tool is a plus
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Strong organization, analytical, and computer skills.
Ability to create and develop an inclusive and engaged work environment.
Ability to effectively manage Profit & Loss statements may be necessary depending on the complexity and scope of the operation (preferred).
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Master's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
Five (5) years or more in Supply Chain, Logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
Three (3) years or more Supervisory experience required.
Two (2) years or more Profit & Loss experience preferred.
Two (2) years or more Application experience of Lean principles, systems and tools required.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft tools; especially with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
