Summary

The Supervisor Recruitment will manage 3-5 recruiters as a member of Ryder's recruiting leadership team, which sets strategic direction, policy, and standards for the staffing function. The recruitment team is accountable for promoting the organization as an employer of choice.

Essential Functions

  • Understand and disseminate the procedures in place for the identification, recruitment, and selection of applicants for employment. Supervise team members to ensure recruiting metrics and goals are on target

  • Work alongside senior management to improve recruiting procedures across the division and apply best practices from one area to another, ensuring consistency of message throughout the division. Develop procedures that are consistent with the corporate talent management strategy and act as a key contributor in improving and developing this strategy

  • Initial and on-going training of team members. Create check points to gauge understanding and retention of training materials

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performance management of direct reports to include employee development

  • Execute the pod recruiting model where applicable

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

  • Must be a strong communicator both oral and written

  • Must be an individual with high standards who requires little direct supervision and who consistently takes the initiative to meet and exceed his/her goals and objectives

  • Must have strong relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to command the respect and trust of executives and candidates in the recruitment process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Human Resources

  • Five (5) years or more Recruiting experience required

  • Two (2) years or more in managing a recruiting team required

  • Three (3) years or more with sourcing methods, and best recruiting practices and strategies required
