Ryder System Maintenance Supervisor in ATLANTA, Georgia

Position Description

Seeking a high speed entry level Maintenance Supervisor to provide direction, motivation, and purpose to their technicians to ensure tasks are being completed on time and within compliance. No maintenance or technical skills required (working knowledge is preferred & willing and able to train is required), however a well-organized frontrunner with the ability to prioritize, report updates daily, lead individuals, operate within compliance, and maintain consistency will be key in determining the right fit. This position will oversee building, general maintenance, manage vendors, & manage MHE fleet from safety, process, to an execution perspective in an ambient temp 1MM sq ft facility, with 5 direct reports, and reporting to the building’s general manager.


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations required

  • Minimum of 6 (six) months supervisory experience required


  • 1-3 Years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred

  • Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment, (i.e.: Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch preferred.)

  • Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred


  • Performance management of direct reports. Developing direct reports

  • Employee relations/issue resolution New employee training

  • Disciplinary actions

  • Quality assurance Administrative duties

  • Customer satisfaction/problem resolution

  • Ensure functional area meets all productivity goals and objectives

  • Safety management and reporting
