Ryder System Inventory Parts and Tire Research Associate II in ALPHARETTA, Georgia

Position Description

The Parts and Tires Research Associate II is responsible for performing reconciliations for all parts and tires for assigned districts, contacting locations to correct variances, and preparing and posting journal vouchers.


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Two (2) years or more of experience in research and reconciliation

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstratesd analytical skills

  • Ability to:

  • Find solutions to problems using creativity, reasoning, and past experiences along with the available information and resources

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Microsoft Office skills, with specific proficiency in Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables, and charts) at the ntermediate level


  • Research and reconcile monthly variances between Physical Inventories and the General ledger for multiple districts

  • Prepare inventory reconciliation worksheets

  • Identify and use analytical techniques to gather, assess and evaluate data; analysis includes quantitative and qualitative results

  • Prepare and post journal vouchers

  • Work closely with field personnel to insure compliance

  • Schedule and reconcile Out of Cycle inventories

  • Work as a team player

  • Must be a self-starter able to manage time to meet specific deadlines

  • Resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles

  • Communicate throughout the inventory reconciliation any issues/concerns with PLL and shop personnel that completed count

  • Assist fellow inventory associates with inventory questions/issues

  • Perform other duties as assigned
