Ryder System Field Finance Manager: FMS in ALPHARETTA, Georgia

Position Description

The Field Finance Manager is responsible for managing all of the finance and accounting support functions for a major field operation, including financial analysis and planning, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and capital planning.

This position can be based in either Miami, FL or Alpharetta, GA.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance - MBA or CPA strongly preferred

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing these combined functions: finance and accounting suppor, to include financial analysis and planning, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting

  • Ryder operational finance experience a plus

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Excellent people, communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to:

Responsibilities

  • Support Field Finance Director on monthly financial closing process, monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, request for capital expenditures, and special projects

  • Manage a team of analysts to provide financial support to field operations and regional sales team to include monthly reporting and analysis of the financial results

  • Develop a strong understanding of the cost parameters of the FMS business model including labor, running costs, IT, facilities, etc.

  • Perform a broad spectrum of operations analysis which will include data gathering from various systems, perform analysis of data, arrive at conclusions and give recommendations to senior management on the information obtained

  • Collect, organize and evaluate data to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve performance

  • Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure that Ryder's control processes are being followed at the operations

  • Train onsite operations personnel in the use of Ryder's financial systems and various reports; Ensure the integrity of financial systems and management reports
