Ryder System Collections Supervisor in ALPHARETTA, Georgia
The Collections Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations of a work group, to include :
Audit and approve credit memos.
Coordinate aged statement reviews with collectors to ensure adequate and proper performance.
Participate on Business Unit conference calls with collectors to maximize effectiveness.
Review and audit collector work to ensure proper coverage, adherence to published protocols, and appropriate follow-up actions are executed.
Provide prompt feedback to collectors on performance.
Provide day-to-day work direction and primary input on hiring, firing, performance, and reward decisions.
Ensure work coverage for the group, including scheduling, attendance management, and payroll.
Provide training on all aspects of the job to new and existing collectors.
Develop, create, and maintain existing Desktop Procedures and Protocols.
Lead and participate in projects to include Department, SSC, Division, and Corporate initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or 8 (eight) years related business work experience
Requires full use and application of relevant principles, theories, concepts and techniques
General knowledge of functional area(s) assigned
Manages day-to-day work processes and results to established service levels
Supervises exempt and nonexempt employees Provides day-to-day work direction
Primary input to hiring, performance, and rewards decisions for a group of employees Provides guidance, coaching and training
Ensures work coverage for the group, including scheduling, attendance management, and payroll
Manages to the ASL Acts as the primary escalation point and resolves and addresses issues within established guidelines
Implements and administers quality control/assurance processes and procedures and conducts audits
Participates in the development of goals to maintain optimum efficiency
Develops and maintains desk procedures, training manuals, internal control documentation
May lead or participate in projects to include department, SSC, division and corporate initiatives
Acts as the SME for the group and or business process
