Summary

The Senior Quality Control Manager provides leadership for the Distribution Center and supervisors, who are directly responsible for quality control solutions of all incoming products. The incumbent will have and maintain high level interface directly with the customer on a regular basis

Essential Functions

  • Knowledge of AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) sampling / methodologies strongly preferred.

  • Experienced and comfortable interfacing with the client on a daily basis.

  • Manage a Quality Coordinator and 8 to 10 Quality Associates over 2 shifts.

  • Perform set amount of inspection audits for quality control on incoming domestic & international product and share the results with the relevant department.

  • Manage and update QC samples (Keeping sample, Final sample, etc.).

  • When a quality issue occurs, report it and solve the problem as a team.

  • Monitor and Classify defects.

  • Incoming inspection and Process defects are counted, managed, and reported to Sr. Engineer. (Cause analysis after isolation of defective products.)

  • Pays attention to detail and make accurate measurements. (Incoming inspection, Process QC)

  • Enter inspection and analysis results in system. (Manage data entry on a daily basis.)

  • Continuous training and feedback on inspection and measurement methods.

  • Verification and testing of new SKUs.

  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.

  • Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.

  • Communicate information from senior management to employees and vice versa.

  • Responsible for staffing, training and employee relations.

  • Ability to effectively manage Profit & Loss statements may be necessary depending on the complexity and scope of the operation (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.

  • Master's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.

  • Five (5) years or more in Supply Chain, Logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.

  • Three (3) years or more Supervisory experience required.

  • Two (2) years or more Profit & Loss experience preferred.

  • Two (2) years or more Application experience of Lean principles, systems and tools required.
