Eligibility Requirements:

  • Mechanical experience preferred, but not necessary.

  • Must have minimum tool requirement.

  • Must be able to read, write in English and have the mental capacity to complete required paperwork and records.

  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.

  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Must be able to punctually arrive at workplace within specified hours and be willing to work overtime as management deems necessary.

  • Must be willing to participate in training classes that are given by the company or requested by the company.

  • Must be willing to work in different areas of the shop to keep the operation running in an efficient manner.

Pre / Post Offer:

Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge, understanding, and application of the safety practices related to this position.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the proper handling of hazardous material.

  • Efficiently produce a fully rebuilt and operating unit in a timely manner

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to spend 90% of the day standing and 5% of the day walking on concrete surfaces.

  • Occasional and repetitiously be able to lift and carry 10 to 70pounds of weight (30% of the time).

  • Through safe and proper procedures, have the ability to push or pull carts of heavy weight, up to 2000 pounds (10% of the time).

  • While performing standard rebuilder functions, the following physical requirements are necessary per work period:

  • Reaching 20%

  • Grasping 85%

  • Repetitive movements 50%

  • Stooping and bending 20%

  • Must have the ability to accurately read gauges and dials.

  • Must be able to move, operate, lift and store specialized equipment that includes, but is not limited to welding equipment, hand tools, shop machines, and power tools.

Work Environment:

  • Rebuilders will be exposed to fumes, noise, dust, and other irritants found in a normal shop environment.

  • Rebuilders may work with, and be exposed to hazardous materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Lift starters and alternators to disassembly or assembly line

  • Efficiently use power and hand tools

  • Disassemble and reassemble starters and alternators on a production line

  • Work with diagnostic equipment

  • Perform maintenance and repairs to equipment used in the rebuild operation

  • Apply knowledge of EPA and OSHA rules and regulations
