Position Description:

The IT Consultant - .NET Developer creates software design, develops software and captures software requirements. S/he is the liaison for site operations and customer regarding all aspects of IT solutions and acts as the subject matter expert.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in C# and ASP.NET

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with software development

  • Experienced with developing presentation, business, and data access code

  • Advanced level knowledge with ASP.NET and ADO.NET techniques such as data-bound .NET controls, templates and editable data grids, code reusability in .NET, advanced reporting, disconnected applications, interoperable applications, XML web services, and .NET managed providers

  • Basic skill level with Visual Studio and TFS tools such as the basics of the Microsoft .NET Framework, the basics of designing a .NET-connected solution, Web-based applications, Microsoft Windows-based applications, and Web services

  • Advanced level knowledge of HTML and JavaScript such as HTML layout, HTML fonts, HTML styles, HTML scripts, HTML URLs, HTML attributes, HTML events, HTML URL-encode, HTML Webserver, variables, if-then branching, link events, image swaps, windows, frames, the DOM, Loops, arrays, functions and forms. Experience with developing SQL Server stored procedures

  • Advanced level knowledge with Transact-SQL such as Logical Query Processing; Query Tuning; Subqueries, Ranking Functions, Joins and Set Operations; Aggregating and Pivoting Data (including CLR UDAs); TOP and APPLY; Data Modification; Data Type Related Problems (including XML and CLR UDTs); Programmable Objects (Transactions, Dynamic Execution, User Defined Functions, Stored Procedures, Triggers, CLR Routines); Exception Handling; Graphs, Trees and Hierarchies

  • Advanced level understanding of relational database concepts such as object-oriented data modeling, advanced relational features, XML and databases, object-oriented databases, and object-relational databases

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree with emphasis in logistics, transportation, computer science or business preferred

  • Knowledge of design patterns and object oriented methodologies - GoF patterns

  • Familiarity with re-factoring techniques

  • Familiarity with Object/Relational Mapping (ORM)

  • Knowledge of WCF and Web API

  • Knowledge of XML and other related technologies

  • Knowledge of UML diagrams

  • Experience with NUNIT and other testing tools

  • Advanced knowledge of Transact-SQL and ANSI 92 SQL syntax

  • Experienced stored procedure developer

  • Experienced SQL Server Integration Service developer

  • Knowledgeable with XML

  • Complete understanding of the optimization process in SQL Server

  • Experience with SQL Profiler

  • Understands SQL Server lock mechanism and lock hints
