Position Description:

The Group Director of National Account Maintenance position is fundamental to the growth strategy of Fleet Management Services. The major function of this role is to develop strategies and execution plans to advance the relationships with key clients in the area of Maintenance Operations. The incumbent will lead their team with a focus on continued business retention, customer satisfaction index (CSI) improvement, reduction of lost business, as well as proper set-up and execution for multi-location/onsite sales start-ups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in transportation management, business, or other related study with related transportation management experience

  • Fifteen (15) years or more experience in diversified management, maintenance & operational or sales leadership positions

  • Effective leadership skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of accomplishing results across a broad organization, both internal and external

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrates analytical skills. Excellent decision making skills

  • Must be detailed oriented, self motivated with excellent follow-up practices

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

  • Excellent PC knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Lotus Notes, Access and Power Point (intermediate level)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and execution plans to advance relationship with key clients in Maintenance Operations. Manage the development of assigned programs

  • Interface effectively with National Sales Leadership, Field Operations, and HQ Maintenance teams to ensure excellent and efficient service is provided and existing contracted services are aligned with SLAs, as well as identify new business opportunities for continued growth

  • Plan for organizational development to meet objectives

  • Support team to continued CSI improvement and reduce lost business by supporting growth from within the National Customer base

  • Work with HQ Maintenance Field Support Services to change company policy related to national accounts

  • Develop and utilize company tools and systems for tracking and measuring key performance areas in order to identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies that help achieve the best interests of the overall business

  • Manage the implementation and compliance of National Field Maintenance Programs across the Company

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Prepare and deliver monthly status updates to Senior Leadership

  • Direct quality assurance activities
