Ryder System Outbound Supervisor First Shift in HEBRON, Kentucky
Ryder is seeking an Outbound Supervisor to cover the first shift. This is an excellent opportunity for the individual that wants to advance their career.
The right candidate for this role will be self-motivated, high-energy and will have a desire to move upward.
The Outbound Supervisor will manage two team leads and will oversee the Shipping and Fill & Pack department. Additional responsibilities include updating the Productivity Tracker daily as well as the MDI (Maintaining Daily Improvements) board.
Must understand the Lean Culture.
Education: Having a college degree or in process of obtaining is a huge plus!
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations required
Minimum of 6 (six) months supervisory experience required
1-3 Years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred
Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment, (i.e.: Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch preferred.)
Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred
Performance management of direct reports. Developing direct reports
Employee relations/issue resolution New employee training
Quality assurance Administrative duties
Customer satisfaction/problem resolution
Ensure functional area meets all productivity goals and objectives
Safety management and reporting
