Ryder System Training Coordinator in Greenwood, Indiana

Position Description

The Organizational Development and Learning department within Ryder is seeking a temporary hire to assist with the administrative tasks associated with the Management Development Program. Reporting to the Management Skills Facilitator, the Training Coordinator will perform clerical, administrative and research duties in order to ensure that all Management Development training sessions are executed successfully. Candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, have strong communication skills and able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and be accountable for tasks assigned. Interest in HR, training or Ryder a plus. Position will be based in Miami.

Requirements

  • 4 years of relatable work experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred

  • Administrative background a plus

  • Intermediate/Advanced level knowledge of Word and Excel

  • Ability to conduct professional and productive phone interactions with internal/external customers, Detail-oriented; builds time into delivery process for double-checking work

  • Proactively approaches problems, providing at least one solution to each issue

  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a small team

  • Capable of working in flexible, changing environment; able to manage multiple projects concurrently Able to work independently, or with minimal supervision

  • Prioritizes work effectively; understands time and deadline parameters and asks clarifying questions

  • Has can-do attitude; doesn't stop at the first hurdle, willing to pitch in and help where needed

  • Excellent written and oral grasp of English language

  • Interest in training, HR, talent development a plus

Responsibilities

Training Communications:

  • Send out all pre-drafted correspondences related to Management Development Program via email; respond to internal customer's inquiries, as needed; research, create and send weekly management tip email blasts; review and update roster daily; plan and create future training communications to reinforce learning, Session Feedback: Review, compile electronically, analyze and summarize post-training feedback

  • Create repeatable and quantifiable system of feedback

  • Update Quarterly Report, Training Logistics: Research and reserve meeting space, AV, catering and travel (as needed) for each training session, ensuring financial parameters are maintained

  • Create Travel and Logistics document

  • Confirm all details prior to session with vendor, Financials: Update and submit financial documents related to training as needed

  • Update Financial spreadsheet weekly, Record-keeping: Maintain all Management Development Program files in organized and accessible format

  • Create job aids as needed, in order to have a replicatable process

  • Miscellaneous: Based upon needed, help with training-related tasks
