Ryder System Warehouse Inventory Coordinator in Frankfort, Indiana
Under supervision from a supervisor or manager, the Warehouse Inventory Coordinator ensures and maintains inventory accuracy both physically and systematically and supports inventory activities and cycle counter at local DC.Personnel in these groups may have varying degrees of customer contact levels.
Weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting of all inventory KPI’s and required reports for all DC’s. Ensures the accuracy of the Data in SAP daily. Investigates and correct discrepancies.
Maintains SAP and Data entry to any adhoc reporting database (i.e. Excel).
Monitors status of all slow/obsolete products to ensure appropriate focus and resources are in place.
Reviews daily delivery reports and follows up on all orders cancelled due to stock issues.
Responsible for ensuring all inventory related transactions are posted and reported according to process guidelines and time allotted.
Retains records to enable client to audit at any time
Graphing Inventory Metrics
Customer Liaison/Project Participation/Training:
Act as point of contact for the customer inventory control team review and respond all queries.
Acts as a point of escalation for both warehouse supervisors and customer.
Responsible for the training, development, coaching and motivation of the Operations Team on inventory related processes.
Participates in operational and systematic changes related to inventory.
Communicates supply and product issues to appropriate customer designated.
Responsible for coordinating/communicating and follow through of all product launches and transitions to ensure supply chain requirements are successfully implemented.
Cycle counting and physical inventory:
Responsible for execution, reconciliation and reporting of daily cycle counts and planned physical inventories.
Investigates and follows through on all inventory discrepancies in order to resolve discrepancies from recurring.
Daily IDOC review and resolution
Responsible for execution/disposing and reporting of approved scrap product.
Responsible for reviewing monthly billing with Finance Analyst and provide explanations for variance between inventory variance and billed amount.
Ensure all inventory activities (new & existing) have processes in place to provide accurate inventory for the customer as well as written SCLM documentation.
Fully supports and contributes to quality management, process improvement and cost reduction initiatives as appropriate in a proactive manner and/or required by his/her manager.
Supports new account Start up.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience as a clerk in a warehouse / distribution environment, performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping / receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendor and customers strongly preferred
Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of WMS systems preferred
Experience operating forklift equipment preferred
Equipment certification may be required
Performs adminstrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents per SOP
Generates daily, weekly, or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature
Coordinates activities with clerks from other areas, the customers, and providers
Recognize, resolve, and correct discrepancies pertaining to the warehouse, transportation, and inventory
Gather from and provide information to employees pertaining to area of support
Using the location's Warehouse Management System (WMS), update area or shift metrics as needed
Depending on location, employee may be required to operate equipment and may be required to be equipment certified
Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
